The Syrian National Council (SNC) has told the Today programme that they believe the regime has only agreed to cease military operations in order to "buy time".
Ausama Monajed, spokesman for the opposition SNC, told the Today programme's Justin Webb that they already have "confirmed reports" that the Kofi Annan brokered ceasefire has been violated in Damascus with injuries being reported.
He said that the SNC "wants to get rid of dictatorship... the mafia that is in control of the country".
"We have to support plan in order to expose the Syrian regime's plan," he said, adding that they were "very sceptical" that the regime will fulfil the criteria of the Annan ceasefire.
