A small, New York-based games company has just been bought for $180m (£113m) after releasing a games app that was downloaded 35 million times in six weeks.
Draw Something is similar to Pictionary created by OMGPOP.
It is now the top downloaded free app in 85 countries across the world.
Nikki Moore, founder of girlgeekchic.com, said that the success of this app is that it is "a simple and easy game... that is really addictive".
Neil McFarland, creative director of user interaction design company ustwo, said that the biggest challenge in developing an app is getting the message out about it.
