Commons is 'infantilised' by royal family


In this Jubilee Year, the royals are being closely watched, and so far, appear to be warmly regarded.

Labour MP Paul Flynn says the Queen has done a great job and is a remarkable personality. But, he adds, in the House of Commons we are becoming "infantilised" by royalty.

The chief executive of Republic, Graham Smith, says republicans don't like the idea of having to accept the "mythology" around the Queen. She is a normal person like everyone else, he adds.
