Why do we struggle with maths?


A report from the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) says maths education in England is not fit for purpose and is damaging competitiveness. But how do you motivate children in maths and to keep them doing it to an advanced level?

Lucie Green, Solar Researcher at the Mullard Space Science Lab, Matt Parker, Maths Outreach Coordinator at Queen Mary University, debate how the problem can be solved.
