It has been a tumultuous seven days for English football, which has seen its team captain sacked, and its team manager resign. Overseeing all this has been the guardians of the national game, the Football Association. Is this a brave new dawn?

The BBC's Tim Franks tries to answer this question and Richard Caborn, a former sports minister, examines how to begin reforming English football.
