Why is it a long way to Tipperary?


After a late night drinking session and a five shilling wager, one of the popular songs that defined Britain in the First World War was born.

It's a Long Way to Tipperary was written and first performed a 100 years ago today.

The BBC's Nick Ravenscroft reports on the history of the song.
