A select group of MPs is to meet to consider the state of the Palace of Westminster, including what to do about the clock tower holding Big Ben, which experts say has a slight tilt.
John Burland, an emeritus professor at Imperial College who was responsible for coming up with a solution for stabilising the leaning tower of Pisa and designed the five storey car park underneath the Palace of Westminster, told the Today programme that people had know about the lean for a long time.
He said he was "not in the least" worried about the tilt, which probably happened as they were building the tower.
