'Exceptional' life of Max Sebold

It is just over a decade since the author WG Sebald, or Max Sebald as he was known to friends, was killed in a car crash at the age of 57.

He was already known as a serious literary force, but 10 years on he is being recognised as one the most important contemporary authors, with a new film documenting one his books.

The BBC's Tom Bateman has been finding out what made his work so influential.
