A number of prominent political prisoners have been released in the latest of a series of amnesties by the authorities in Burma.
The freeing of political detainees is a key demand of the international community before sanctions imposed on Burma can be eased.
Wai Hnin Pwint Thon, daughter of Burma political activist Mya Aye who has just been released from prison, explains her hopes for the country.
"We have to be very cautious because if the military backed government in Burma actually want to change, genuinely, they shouldn't really do it as a bargaining chip for lifting the sanctions," she said.
