Prison 'not a place' for the elderly

The fastest growing prison population in England and Wales are the 50s, who make up nearly 10% of the total population.

The over 50's are classed as elderly in prison and are more likely to suffer with diabetes or coronary heart disease or have mobility problems.

Radio 4 documentary Dying Inside explores the experiences of elderly prisoners. Presenter Rex Bloomstein, describes what they discovered.
