The night Stephen Lawrence was killed he was with his best friend Duwayne Brooks - a man whose life since has been defined by what happened that evening. He was the only witness to the murder.

In his first broadcast interview since Gary Dobson and David Norris were convicted for the murder, Mr Brooks reflects on the trial verdict and the 18-year wait for a conviction.

"For 18 years I have endured harassment, victimisation, being blamed... being brutalised," he said.

"To see two members of that gang convicted, for me it was all worth it.

"It was a partial victory, but it was worth the struggle."
