Clegg: 'No-one planned' for EU outcome

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has said that "no-one planned" for the eventuality that the UK was left in "a corner on its own" following David Cameron's use of the veto in EU negotiations.

Speaking to Sarah Montague in the first of the Today programme's New Year leader interview, he said that the UK had to use its "considerable clout" to further British interests in the EU.
