Is the UK facing a 'lost decade'?

The escalation of the eurozone crisis means Japan's so-called 'lost decade' following their recession is now looking like a "good option" according to economics editor Stephanie Flanders.

Richard Werner, professor of international banking at Southampton University, and Jonathan Allum, a strategist with the Japanese investment bank Mizuho International, debate whether comparisons with Japan can help us understand the current problems in the UK economy.
