Foreign England manager 'feels wrong'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has told Robert Peston that an Englishman should manage the England football team after Fabio Capello steps down.

Keir Radnedge of World Soccer magazine believes that should an Englishman take over as manager of the England team then Harry Redknapp is the "only main candidate" at the moment as it is "very rare" for an English manager to get into the champion's league.

Sports writer Alyson Rudd says it "feels wrong" and that it is "deeply illogical" to appoint an overseas manager, as England have failed since 1966 to find the "secret ingredient" that makes good English football.

Keir Radnedge disagrees, however, and believes that England should choose the "best man for the job".
