Burstow: Healthy eating 'is not expensive'

The government is publishing recipes for healthy meals that can be made relatively cheaply and is encouraging three supermarket chains to offer discounts on some healthy foods.

Public health minister Paul Burstow says the campaign is not just about providing people with "information about how to cook healthy meals" but rather to provide "offers" and "opportunities" to acquire ingredients more cheaply - although he concedes that he does not actually know the scale of the offers.
