Unemployment 'existed during boom'

The UK's monthly unemployment figures are likely to bring more grim news after last month's figures showed unemployment rose to more than 2.6 million in the three months to September.

Nick Pearce, director of the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and a former head of Number 10's policy unit and Neil O'Brien, director of Policy Exchange, discuss what can be done to get more people into work.
