Social attitudes not reflecting 'Big Society'

According to a report by the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen), Britons are increasingly looking to themselves for solutions to social problems rather than the government and, despite widespread concern about economic disparity, the public does not appear to believe that government redistribution of wealth is the way forward.

Penny Young of NatCen produced the report and outlines the main findings.
