Egyptian regime 'soft on political Islam'

A week before Egypt's first free democratic elections in decades, at least thirteen people have been killed and hundreds injured since clashes erupted across the country in protest against the ruling military regime.

Dr Mamdouh Hamza, secretary general of The Egyptian National Council, reflects on the military council's role in provoking these protests.
