Peston: Italy 'not far off a crisis'

How much trouble is the eurozone economy in?

Business editor Robert Peston points out that, in the case of Ireland and Greece, when borrowing costs where at the same level that Italy's are today it was only a matter of weeks before a rescue package was needed

Megan Greene, of economic analysis firm Roubini Global Economics, says that a solution of fiscal union is unlikely to be reached and therefore the European Central Bank will need to step in to help solve the eurozone crisis.
