Presumed consent 'a statist solution'

The government in Wales will today begin a consultation on moving towards a system of presumed consent for organ donation.

Roy Thomas, Chairman of Kidney Wales Foundation and Glyn Davies, Conservative MP for Montgomeryshire, debate whether presumed consent is an effective solution to increase organ donations.

They both admit that Britain is in dire need of an increase in organ donors as three people die every day in the UK from lack of a suitable organ transplant.
