Schizophrenia treatments 'have lagged behind'


One hundred years after the term schizophrenia was first coined by a Swiss psychiatrist, we still do not know what causes the devastating condition and treatments available can cause as many problems as they solve.

Science correspondent Tom Feilden reports on what has been dubbed "the forgotten illness".
