Tax system 'doesn't fit together'

The Institute of Fiscal Studies has heavily criticised the tax system for being too complicated and unfair, in the deepest and most far reaching analysis of the UK tax system in more than 30 years, led by the Nobel Prize-winning economist Sir James Mirrlees.

The IFS's director Paul Johnson discusses possible radical reforms of the system.
