PFI 'ripping off taxpayers'

Private finance initiative (PFI) schemes, which allow private consortia to pay for and provide public sector capital projects such as hospitals, schools or prisons, have been criticised by MPs who say it is an inefficient way of paying for new infrastructure.

Andrew Tyrie of the the Treasury Select Committee explains why a tax payers are being "ripped off" by PFI schemes.
