Indian people 'sick of corruption'

India's home affairs minister has denied the government is stifling democratic protest after police arrested 1,300 people to halt a hunger strike lead by the anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare.

Hartosh Singh Bal, political editor of Open Magazine, news and current affairs magazine based in Delhi, explains why the government is now isolated.
