German growth 'really bad news'

German chancellor and French president are to meet to discuss the possibility of creating eurobonds to tackle the growing crisis in the region.

The meeting comes as figures are released showing that German GDP grew at just 0.1% in the second quarter.

Steven Major, global head of fixed income research at HSBC, explains why German growth figures are a "stark reminder" of the challenge facing the eurozone, and why eurobonds are "inevitable".
