The Daily Show was not broadcast on More4 this week because it used clips of televised proceedings in the Commons and broadcasters are still prohibited from editing parliamentary material for comic effect or putting it in a satirical context.

Steve Punt, host of The Now Show on Radio 4, and Roger Gale, Conservative MP and a former member of the Commons Broadcasting Committee who was against televising the Commons, discuss whether the rules stop politicians being taken "completely out of context", or are simply an "odd" restraint.
