The resignation of the UK's most senior police officer, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson, has sparked major concerns over the role and integrity of the police force.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson, the man who accepted Sir Paul's resignation, said that Sir Paul's decision "was the right call" but was made solely by Sir Paul himself.
Mr Johnson also said there are still serious doubts about the on going role of Assistant Commissioner John Yates.
He said: "Clearly there are questions about his [Mr Yates'] links with Neil Wallis."
