William Tell 'tour de force'

The overture of Rossini's opera William Tell has a claim to be one of the best known pieces in the classical repertoire. But the opera it is drawn from has rarely been performed in its entirety.

James Naughtie speaks to conductor Antonio Pappano and US tenor John Osborn ahead of their proms performance of the challenging piece.
