Adam Shaw attempts to write the perfect song

A new BBC Two series beginning this weekend will track the progress of the song writer Guy Chambers, best known for his work with Robbie Williams, as he takes three artists, Rufus Wainwright, Mark Ronson and the Noisettes, from first idea to performance.

The BBC's Adam Shaw went with them in an attempt to write the perfect pop song.

The three-part series Secrets of the Pop Song begins on BBC Two on Saturday 2 July at 2145 BST.
