Strike 'will not close UK borders'

Immigration staff are set to strike tomorrow over pensions, and the Border Agency has written to one of the main airport operators suggesting they advise their passengers to "travel on an alternative day".

Norman Shanks, a former head of group security at BAA and now a consultant in aviation security, gives his views on the potential impact of the action.
