GPs 'required to reveal child abuse concerns'

Doctors are being urged not to protect the confidentiality of adult patients if it risks the welfare of a child, and to refer more cases of potential abuse to authorities.

Joanna Nicolas, a child protection consultant, explains why doctors must be "open and honest" on the issue.
