Greece 'buying time'

A two-day general strike will bring Greece to a standstill today, as people take to the streets in protest of austerity measures.

Europe editor Gavin Hewitt reports the "defining moment" in Athens as "thousands" of Greek people oppose the government's plans.

And Martin Wolf, chief economics commentator at the Financial Times, explains why defaulting "right now" would lead to an "absolutely terrible situation".
