Relics 'the bizarre treasures of medieval past'

The British Museum's new summer exhibition will showcase religious relics from mediaeval Europe, including three thorns said to come from the crown of thorns that Jesus was forced to wear, and the breast milk of the Virgin Mary.

The curator James Robinson describes the "splendid treasures" which create a "wonderful narrative" of old times.
