Alcohol guidelines 'too high for older people'

A report called Invisible Addicts that is published today will reveal that safe drinking limits for older people are in fact lower than those for the young.

Dr Tony Rao, a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists' working group which carried out the research, and Emma Soames, editor-at-large of Saga magazine, debate why as we age, "our ability to get rid of alcohol from the bloodstream is reduced."
