'A raw, brutal struggle for power' in Ed Balls memos

A collection of private memos belonging to Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls, published by The Daily Telegraph, reveal how he, Gordon Brown and their allies began what the paper describes as a "brutal" plot to remove Tony Blair from office after 2007.

Blair's biographer Anthony Seldon and Observer columnist Andrew Rawnsley, author of The End of the Party, consider the latest revelations of New Labour infighting.
