New university 'a waste of money'

A new university being set up by some of the most famous names in the academic world will charge £18,000 a year, and is planning to rival Oxford and Cambridge.

The master of the New College of the Humanities, AC Grayling, currently professor of philosophy at Birkbeck College, and Baroness Blackstone, vice chancellor of the University of Greenwich and a former education minister, debate the benefits of such a scheme.
