'Why turn a perfect film into a play?'


The classic Ealing comedy Ladykillers has been adapted for the stage and will return starring Peter Capaldi of the Thick of It.

Comic writer Graham Linehan, who penned the play, and Guardian theatre critic Michael Billington discuss whether great films can ever be made to work on the stage.
