Ratko Mladic: 'Fanatical pioneer of ethnic cleansing'

The former Bosnian Serb leader Ratko Mladic will make his first appearance in court today at the war crimes tribunal in the Hague, charged with 11 counts of genocide and crimes against humanity.

Europe correspondent Chris Morris reports on the "discomfort and soul searching" surrounding the trial as "old wounds are reopened."

And Allan Little, the BBC world affairs correspondent who met Mladic several times, reflects on the man who believed he was the "chosen one."
