Britain is turning into a nation of renters, according to a survey carried out on behalf of the Halifax.

Michael Coogan, director general of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, and Matt Griffiths, author of an IPPR report into mortgage lending, debate the "unhealthy" state of housing in Britain.
