Stem cells 'setback'

Stem cells may trigger a reaction from the body's immune system that may try to reject them, according to research published in the latest issue of the Nature scientific journal.

Dr Paul Fairchild of the Oxford Stem Cell Institute explains how this defuses initial excitement at research showing that stems cells might one day be used as an alternative to organ transplants.
