The 'enduring appeal' of Mass Observation


Today is the anniversary of the 1937 Mass Observation project, the biggest participatory record exercise in British history.

Dr Kate Williams, Royal and Social Historian, and the University of Sussex's Dr Margaretta Jolly debate the value of mass participatory recordings of "living history".
