Glasgow football managers 'taking over'

Why is the city of Glasgow so good at producing Premiership managers? There are now seven managers in the Premier League who are from the city, with the seventh joining on Monday night with the promotion of Norwich City.

Former footballer Pat Nevin says that there is something about the Glaswegian that makes them into good managers.

"They work hard, they're very demanding of themselves and of others, they've got a hunger and a desire and a desperation to prove everyone wrong - especially English people," he said.

The key to their success is the Glaswegian accent, comedian and writer Janey Godley said, and their "gritty" attitude.

"People can obviously communicate with somebody who doesn't have a born sense of entitlement, which a lot of people do have, but not the Glasgow managers," she said.
