Lloyds posts 3.5bn loss


Lloyds Banking Group has plunged back into the red - with a loss of almost £3.47bn for the first three months of this year.

The part-nationalised group had returned to profit last year but had to set aside huge sums to cover the cost of claims that it mis-sold protection insurance.
