Egytian revolution shifts regional alliances


How will the Egyptian revolution alter alliances in the middle east?

The military government in Cairo is opening the border with Gaza and to broker a deal between the Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah, trying to restore diplomatic relations with Iran but simultaneously insisting that the peace treaty with Israel still holds.

Former British ambassador in Cairo Sir Graham Boyce and Adbel Monem Said Aly, a political columnist on the Al Ahram newspaper, analyse the consequences.
