MP bids to curb 'minority strikes'

A Conservative MP will introduce a bill in the House of Commons today that would make some strikes illegal if they were supported by more than 50% of all union members entitled to vote.

Dominic Raab, author of the bill, and Bob Crow of the RMT union, which is balloting for strike action on the London Underground, debate the issue.

Clarification: A number of people have called the programme to say that during this discussion it was suggested that a "yes" vote in an AV referendum would need to go back to Parliament for ratification. Apparently that is not a necessary step.
