Syrian regime 'is in trouble'

The British are today circulating a statement at the UN condemning violence by Syrian security forces, which are moving tanks into the turbulent city of Deraa to quell protesters.

Bishop Philoxenos Mattias, a spokesman for the Syriac Orthodox Church, used his Easter address to praise President Assad for the safety and security he was bringing to Syria.

Malik Al-Abdeh, chief editor of Barada TV, describes the situation for civilians.
