Most councils 'will back Royal Wedding street parties'


David Cameron says anyone wanting to hold a street party for the Royal Wedding should go ahead and not be put off by local councils imposing restrictions and saying you need expensive public liability insurance.

Hayley Mills was told she would need £5m insurance cover for her street party by her local council at Rochester in Kent.

And councillor Chris White, of the Local Government Authority, says most councils will be happy to help.
