'Down to earth' Taylor's love of Welsh village


The death of Elizabeth Taylor has a special resonance for the village of Pontrhydyfen in south Wales. Richard Burton, who was married twice to Taylor, was born and brought up there.

After his death in 1984, she visited the village, staying with his family in the small terraced house where he grew up. The BBC's Wales correspondent, Colette Hulme, went back to the street that found itself in the middle of a media frenzy 26 years ago.
