Expert evidence is only 'opinion'

Judges will now be able to test expert evidence before the jury is sworn in, the Law Commission for England and Wales says.

Home affairs correspondent Danny Shaw explains why this change has been made and David Ormerod, the commissioner responsible for criminal law, and Mark Solon, director of Bond Solon which trains expert witnesses, debate the reliability of experts in court cases.
