Lifting the lid on bonus culture

New research appears to show that in general you get better work if you do not just have bonuses in an industry - but also fines.

Some have long thought that the problem with bankers is that they get bonuses if all goes well but never get punished if things go wrong.

Dr Daniele Nosenzo at the School of Economics, University of Nottingham is co-author of the study.
